The study deals with the development of architectural-historical research in the Czech Lands. Emphasis is placed on the period beginning in approximately the middle 19th century and culminating in the second half of the 20th century. The latter period saw a gradual stabilization of the methodological tools and tasks of architectural-historical research mainly in its contemporary concept - a sophisticated method of comprehensively studying historical buildings, according to which architectural-historical research is compiled on the basis of detailed archival and field research as a written essay with a given structure. The article addresses the activities of the famous Prague architect František Albert Libra in Trutnov in the period after the Second World War when he worked together with the textile factories in 1946-1948, then later with the Texlen Czech flax textile factories in the realization of new typological buildings as part of the renewal of industry in eastern Bohemia. The article presents three selected realizations in more detail: a nursery in Úpice, a terraced house for the Jestřebec factory employees in Malé Svatonovice, and a gatehouse extension, factory kitchen, and factory cafeteria Libeč.

The article presents a procedure for comprehensively assessing the level of threat to heritage structures presented by natural and anthropogenic influences. Such an assessment is conducted on the basis of available databases, spatial mapping analyses, field investigations, and process modeling for individual threatening influences. For the overall assessment of the condition, the multi-criteria analysis method is chosen, which takes into account the varying severity of the effects of the assessed risks and their mutual interaction. A basic idea of the appearance of the stone parts of architecture and related plasters, including the possible color designs of vaulted structures in the Middle Ages, can be obtained by studying panel paintings and miniatures in manuscripts.Inside the medieval churches in South Bohemia, even despite the cleaning of the constructional elements, it has been possible to find remains of lime paints and, increasingly used from the High Middle Ages, red polychrome. The article is devoted to movable archaeological findings presented on the site where they were discovered. These are isolated cases in which objects found in excavations remain in the interiors of historic or new buildings. Occasionally they are presented in public places.
