The departmental information system of heritage preservation in the context of national and international efforts to ensure interoperability
This article deals with resolving the necessary links between the Czech Heritage Integrated Information System (IISPP) used by the NHI since 2007, which currently deals with, inter alia, the DKRVO task "Support for the Development of an Integrated Information System for Heritage Care", and national and international (especially European) structures and standards. In this context, the article briefly introduces national (National Library of the Czech Republic as a national authority) and international (Cultural Objects Name Authority™ [CONA], Art & Architecture Thesaurus ® [AAT], Getty Thesaurus of Geographic Names ® [TGN], Union List of Artist Names® [ULAN]) with an emphasis on European standards (Object ID, Core Data Index to Historic Buildings and Monuments of the Architectural Heritage, International Core Data Standard for Archaeological Sites and Monuments); as part of the spatial data of INSPIRE (Infrastructure for Spatial Information in Europe). It points out the principles and translation of the multilingual HEREIN (European Heritage Network) Thesaurus. Particular emphasis is placed on the primary need to ensure interoperability with other memory institutions in the Czech Republic (Institute of Art History of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, the Czech National Archives, the Czech National Library, and CITeM [Methodological Centre for Information Technologies in Museology]).
