Instructions for Reviewers
The peer review process ensures thorough and objective evaluation of the submitted texts and is a key tool when deciding whether the articles should be published in the journal or not. The peer review also gives feedback to the authors on how to improve the manuscript further, so that it can be published without reservations.
The manuscripts submitted for publication in the peer-reviewed section of the journal should be evaluated by at least two independent reviewers who are also experts in the topics discussed.
The reviewers are always contacted by the editors. The editorial board gives recommendations on which reviewer would be convenient to contact based on the topic discussed in the article.
The reviewers and authors of the manuscripts remain anonymous to each other.
The evaluations are internal documents of the editorial team and are archived.
The reviewers can refuse to proceed with an evaluation of a manuscript due to a possible conflict of professional interest (see Publication Ethics – Responsibilities of the Reviewers).
The reviewer may not redistribute the submitted manuscript, provide it to others or misuse the information or findings contained therein for personal or other purposes.
The reviewer should follow the editorial guidelines and meet the deadline for the delivery of the review. The standard time for a reviewer to prepare a review is 3-4 weeks.
The reviewer should include both specific and general comments in the evaluation or the manuscript itself as clearly as possible. The conclusion should state explicitly whether the text can be published and under what conditions.
The reviewers should notify the author in case any significant published literature related to the discussed topic is omitted in the text.
Please use the attached form when writing your review and send it electronically or by mail to the address of our office.
