The study offers an analysis of guide texts (syllabi) of the National Heritage Institute. A research team of NHI staff and the Faculty of Education of Charles University analyzed 87 texts from 48 heritage properties in terms of their form and content. The analysis showed that almost two thirds of the texts show serious weaknesses, such as an absence of main topic, excessive descriptiveness, or lack of gradation. The study also noted positive changes starting to take place during heritage properties visitor tours.

The study deals with the architecture of the Prague metro and its first realized section which was put into operation in 1974. The introduction presents a summary of literature and current knowledge in the field of this topic. Will guided tours survive? Survey results among visitors to heritage properties

The study presents a summary of the results of a sociological survey among visitors to heritage properties which took place in June to September 2019 on 22 properties managed by the NHI. A total of 3,399 respondents from all regions of the Czech Republic took part in the questionnaire survey. The survey focused on visitor preferences in their selection of sites, visitors' attitudes to the tour types, and the demands placed on the work of the guide. The article presents a set of judgments from administrative courts; these judgments deal with the interpretation of §42 paragraph 1 of the Act on State Heritage Care. The aforementioned provision has a direct link to the definition of cultural heritage properties and their registration according to the law on cultural heritage properties from the year 1958.
