On the basis of the analysis of the available information on the natural conditions, history and archaeology of Charles, Wenceslas and Senovážné squares in Prague, the present article outlines the basic picture of the historical development of these spaces and their role in the history of Prague cities from the High Middle Ages to the present day. The reconstruction of the extinct form of these squares on the basis of archaeological sources allows us to recognize in more detail their significance for the city's inhabitants of the time and to better understand the activities that took place here in the past. In Bílovice nad Svitavou, a village in the district of Brno-Venkov in South Moravia, there is an unusually large group of architecturally demanding, majestic villa buildings, which were mostly built in the first decade of the 20th century by wealthy Brno residents coming to the village as summer guests. Bílovice resident architect Ing. Jan Flora (1880–1955) designed three villas here in 1909 for prominent builders among the Czech-speaking Brno elite. Wool dyeing works in Brno in the light of archaeological excavations

In recent years, rescue archaeological excavations in Brno have also been carried out at sites associated with the industrialization of the city, also focusing on production facilities and equipment. The current state of archaeological knowledge of Brno's woollen dyeing works is illustrated by three recently uncovered operations: the dyeing works of Leopold Schulze and Wenzel Schwab on Křenová Street, Springer's dyeing works on Dornych Street and the dyeing works of the Moritz E. Schwarz company on the site of the former Vlněna.  From the point of view of archaeological research, the dyeing works represent a well-interpretable type of textile operation....
