The article is devoted to movable archaeological findings presented on the site where they were discovered. These are isolated cases in which objects found in excavations remain in the interiors of historic or new buildings. Occasionally they are presented in public places. The second part of the article addresses the presentation of movable archaeological finds in Clermont-Ferrand (France). Column-like metal display cases form part of the furnishings of public spaces in the city.
