Field identification of World War II activities in the cadastral areas of Branka, Hradec nad Moravicí, Raduň, and the surrounding area using non-destructive archaeological methods, their mapping, and proposal for protection in the landscape using the example of the situation in Hradec nad Moravicí - Jakubčovice

The article presents the results of non-destructive archaeological research in the vicinity of the village of Jakubčovice (a suburban area of Hradec nad Moravicí) in the identification and study of wartime activities during World War II in the retreat area of the Wehrmacht troops. Three separate locations were selected in the Jakubčovice cadaster in which non-destructive archaeological methods were applied in the identification of anthropogenic terrain relics. The objective was to measure all visually visible trenches, to survey the area using metal detectors, and to enter individual discovery sites into a spatial context map. Based on the data thus obtained, the degree of damage to individual movable and immovable sites associated with World War II would be evaluated and a method of their protection proposed.
