And on the right, you see an inlaid chest of drawers… A formal and content analysis of the syllabi of the National Heritage Institute

The study offers an analysis of guide texts (syllabi) of the National Heritage Institute. A research team of NHI staff and the Faculty of Education of Charles University analyzed 87 texts from 48 heritage properties in terms of their form and content. The analysis showed that almost two thirds of the texts show serious weaknesses, such as an absence of main topic, excessive descriptiveness, or lack of gradation. The study also noted positive changes starting to take place during heritage properties visitor tours.
