Teaching aids in heritage education: theory, foreign and domestic inspiration and practice

The article continues on the topic of the overall concept of educational activities of the NHI which were released in 2013. Through a relatively complicated process, a set of "educational kits" was compiled which are now available through educational centers within the NHI (Central Bohemia, Bečov, Č. Budějovice, Telč, Kroměříž, Ostrava, Hradec n. M.), a search for topics and items that should be included, and discussions carried out on this subject with the educational faculties in Prague and Brno. The educational team also sought out inspiration when traveling abroad, particularly in France, Great Britain, and Austria. A relatively large part of what could be seen and encountered among foreign partners (regarding historic buildings as well as museums and art galleries) was subsequently adapted to conditions in the Czech Republic and is now actively used in programs (e.g. stained glass, styled garments, construction sets, etc.).
